Private Bradley Manning is seeking to have the charges against him thrown out, primarily due to his treatment in custody.  That’s not generally grounds to have charges dismissed, but it’s causing in internal stir, even if the press coverage has been sparse.  Manning is accused of espionage for leaking a trove of electronic documents, including classified material, in the Wikileaks scandal.  His court-martial appears to be slated for March, and he’s facing life in prison.  He has offered to plead out on the charges for a reduction to a 16-year sentence.
