Press release

This summer all citizens who can do so are invited to attend Fort Meade as NON_PRESS to report on Bradley Manning’s hearings.

Since the hearings began in December 2011, no official transcript has been provided, and all recording devices have been banned, other than pen and paper. The recording of this historic trial for purposes of bringing news to the world has fallen to a tiny group of dedicated individuals transcribing it painstakingly by hand, but it is very difficult to transcribe every word accurately.

Therefore we invite all those who are able to attend one or more hearings and help record events. All materials will be provided at the gate.

Without the Press there is no history.
